Was im Jahr 1963 als Haus Döbling begann, ist heute Viennabase. Wir können mit Viennabase auf eine 60-jährige Geschichte als Wiener Original der Studierendenwohnheime zurückblicken. Seit 1963 wohnen, leben und lernen bei uns Student*innen aller Nationen und unterschiedlichster Studienrichtungen. Winston Churchill sagte schon: „Je weiter man zurückblicken kann, desto weiter wird man vorausschauen. Daher machen wir im Rahmen unseres Jubiläumsjahres nicht nur einen Blick in unsere Geschichte und machen Ereignisse und Geschichten aus der Vergangenheit aber auch Jetztzeit sichtbar, sondern nehmen das Geburtstagsjahr auch zum Anlass, Neues in Angriff zu nehmen.

A student residence is often the start of a new life and offers a variety of impressions from a new perspective, in a new city, with new people, in a new home. Every month we open our treasure chest and share with you an anecdote or photo from our long history.
