What began in 1963 as Haus Döbling is now Viennabase. With Viennabase, we can look back on 60 years of history as the Viennese original of student residences. Since 1963, students of all nations and a wide variety of fields of study have lived and studied with us. Winston Churchill said: "The further one can look back, the further one will look ahead. Therefore, in the context of our anniversary year, we are not only taking a look at our history and making stories from the past but also the present visible, but we are also taking the birthday year as an occasion to tackle something new.
We're kicking off our 60th anniversary celebrations with a year-round campaign and anniversary logo. A student residence is often the start of a new life and offers a variety of impressions from a new perspective, in a new city, with new people, in a new home. Every month we open our treasure chest and share with you an anecdote or photo from our long history.
