Student residences are among the most affordable forms of accommodation for students. In contrast to many other European university cities, with Viennabase the City of Vienna is making an important contribution to affordable student housing in the federal capital. 99.7% occupancy rate in summer semester 2024 - bookings possible again from July
Viennabase has a total of 1,589 places in four houses in attractive locations and facilities in districts 11, 19 and 22 and recorded a high occupancy rate of 99.7% in the summer semester. This confirms the high level of satisfaction with the Viennabase student residences. Students from over 100 different countries currently live under one roof in the single rooms and studio flats. At 53%, the proportion of women among the residents is particularly high. In addition to Austrians, students from the Russian Federation, Ukraine, China, Turkey, Iran, Germany, Hungary, Italy and Bulgaria are most strongly represented in the 2024 academic year. From July 2024, bookings for the autumn semester 2024/2025 will again be accepted online at https://viennabase.at .
Expansion of digital opportunities
In addition to cooperations with universities, universities of applied sciences and numerous exchange programmes, Viennabase is focusing on increased self-marketing and the digitalisation of processes. Room bookings, the handling of maintenance measures and the general administration of student residences have been made much more efficient thanks to digital student residence management.

While more and more providers of high-priced luxury student residences have entered the market in recent years, Viennabase continues to focus on affordable living with a good price-performance ratio.
